Our
Grandpa
Tragesser
had a
problem.....
His problem
was that he
never had a
enough caps
for his
jars.
Sometimes it
was his
fault. He
would forget
to put the
cap back on
the jar and
it
would get
lost. When
Granny
wanted to
make her
favorite
pickles,
there were
never enough
caps.
|
|
So,
Grandpa
Tragesser
put his
engineering
ability to
work and
assembled
the right
machinery on
a line
shaft. Then
he made the
tools and
dies to make
his own
caps. When
they started
rolling off
the line,
Grandpa was
so pleased.
He gradually
bought
enough
machinery so
that he
could make
every size
quickly. If
a customer
ran out of
caps, he
knew he
could get
them from
Leo.
|
 |
 |
He
sold millions of
caps for all kinds
of products. They
were used on Cremo
Marshmallow, Mifflin
Aspirin, Goya
Olives, Tulkoff
Horseradish, Cream
Whipped Mayonnaise,
Mosemann Peanut
Butter,
Pennzoil, Wixon
Honey, Spatola Wine
and peroxide for
Clairol. He even
made caps for other
cap companies. His
caps gained the
reputation as "The
Caps that sold
themselves." |
Grandpa
made all
of his
caps
with top
quality
tinplate
and top
quality
coatings.
He
packed
them in
sturdy
cartons
so that
they
would
travel
and
arrive
in good
condition.
The
Discs
that he
designed
are
still
running
today,
and in
the past
9 years
have
made
over 9
million
caps. If
you are
looking
for a
source
of good
metal
screw
caps, we
can
supply
you with
as many
as you
need. We
will get
them to
you in a
timely
manner
because
as
Grandpa
used to
say,
"Some
things
in life
should
not be
difficult." |
